🗣️ Ponto fonológico — Nasal "-ão": Notice how vão and então end in a nasal sound that doesn't exist in English. Say it slowly: vã-oo with your mouth nearly closed. It's the same vowel in não, irmão, pão.

🎬 Cinema no Brasil: Going to the movies (ir ao cinema) is very popular in Brazil's big cities. Cinemas usually show international films dubbed (dublado) or subtitled (legendado) — Brazilians often have a strong preference for one or the other! Snacks include pipoca (popcorn) and refrigerante (soda), just like everywhere else.
