A compliments Eduardo: "você pegou o jeito" — this idiom means "to get the hang of / catch on to" a skill, extremely common when talking about learning something.

📖 Pouco a pouco — Little by little

B explains he progressed "pouco a pouco" — this expression describes gradual progress over time, useful whenever describing how a skill or habit developed slowly.

comecei + gerúndio	I started (by) doing... (comecei tocando = I started by playing)
