Step 3 — Language Focus

📖 Nem + pretérito — Not even

B complains "nem me levantei da cadeira" — nem before a preterite verb emphasizes that something didn't happen at all, like English "didn't even."

Pattern	Example	English
nem + pretérito	Nem me levantei.	I didn't even get up.
nem + pretérito	Nem almocei hoje.	I didn't even have lunch today.

📖 Vamos + infinitivo — Invitations

A invites with "Vamos tomar um cafezinho?" and B accepts simply with "Vamos" — vamos + infinitive is the standard, friendly way to suggest doing something together.
