Read the dialogue

Two friends talk about wrinkles and whether plastic surgery would really be worth it.

A: Eu acho que não faria uma cirurgia plástica, mas se fizesse, que parte mudaria?

I'm not saying I would do plastic surgery, but if I did, what part should I change?

B: Mas que pergunta é essa! Porquê você pergunta isso?

What kind of question is that! Why would you ask that?

A: São essas rugas no rosto, são bem feias, viu?

It's these wrinkles in my face, they are so ugly, you know?

B: Mas quem faz a cirurgia plástica acaba parecendo super artificial.

But those that have plastic surgery end up looking really fake.

A: Mesmo assim, é duro aceitar essas rugas.

Still, it's hard to accept these wrinkles.

B: Querida, há uma beleza que só vem com o passar do tempo, você está linda.

Dear, there is beauty that only comes with the years, you are beautiful.

Even so, it's hard to accept these wrinkles.Ele estudou bastante, mesmo assim não passou.
He studied a lot, but still didn't pass.

English: vocabulary and expressions about beauty and aging
This dialogue offers a gentle, culturally resonant way of talking about accepting the signs of aging.
Rugas — wrinkles
Há uma beleza que só vem com o passar do tempo.
There is a beauty that only comes with time.
💬 Você está linda Reassuring someone about their appearance with warmth (você está linda) is a very natural, common gesture of affection in Brazilian conversation, especially between close friends and partners.
🔊 Fizesse / Mudaria Note the two different verb forms working together: fizesse (imperfeito do subjuntivo, for the "if" clause) and mudaria (condicional, for the result) — this pairing is essential for hypotheticals.
