Grammar Note
Read this before doing the exercises.
Presente contínuo (present continuous). To describe an action happening right now, use estar (conjugated) + the main verb in the gerúndio form. This is different from the simple present, which describes habits or general facts.

Examples: Ela está tomando um café. — She is having a coffee. (happening right now) Eles estão conversando perto da janela. — They are chatting near the window.
Contraste com o presente simples:Ela toma café todos os dias (habit) vs. Ela está tomando café agora (right now).
Poucas exceções:pôr → pondo. The vast majority of verbs — including all the ones above — are regular in the gerúndio.

Exercise 4 — Describe the photo
What are the other people in the photo doing?
Look at the photo again. Choose at least 5 different people you haven't described yet (for example: the man in the black "LONDON" t-shirt, the woman in the far back, the man near the shelves) and write a sentence for each, using estar + gerúndio.
Example: "O homem da camiseta preta está em pé, perto da mesa. Ele está esperando."
