Subject Pronouns in Brazilian Portuguese
Subject pronouns tell you who is performing the action. Brazilian Portuguese often drops the pronoun in speech because the verb ending already shows the person — but using it is always correct and adds emphasis or clarity.

▶ Você / vocês — 2nd person pronouns, but they take 3rd person verb forms.
▶ A gente — means "we" and is very common in everyday Brazilian Portuguese. It always takes a 3rd person singular verb: a gente é, not a gente somos.
▶ Tu — used in some regions of Brazil (North, Northeast, South). More informal than você.
▶ Vós — archaic. Avoid in Brazilian Portuguese.
